Festive Things to do in Cayman throughout the month of October

Cayman is known for being a melting pot of cultures, so it’s no surprise that Cayman has adopted traditions from all over the world. We do not experience typical “seasons” like fall or autumn in the Caribbean, but that doesn’t mean Caymanians miss out on the fun. October in Cayman is a month of food and drink – no matter your position. Here are some things taking place in Cayman throughout this month:

  • Restaurant month – all month long, participating restaurants take place in what is known as Cayman Restaurant Month. Restaurants taking part put together a set menu for a prix-fixe on lunches and dinners. • Oktoberfest – Cayman doesn’t miss out on the German celebration involving lots of beer, dirndls and lederhosen. Gather your group of friends and head over to Grand Harbour on Saturday 12th October for games, music, traditional German food and of course, beer! • Cayman Cocktail Week – taking place annually during the last week of October (25th – 31st) and includes themed nights at different locations around island including the Ritz Carlton, Agua, Barolo & Eduardo’s, Icoa, the Westin and more. If you’re a cocktail connoisseur check out the events lined up for cocktail week: https://www.caymancocktailweek.com/event-schedule
  • Salud! Wine Festival – are you a wine lover? If you are, you can’t miss this. On Saturday 26th October, experience over 150 wines from the finest wine-growing regions around the world paired with cheeses and charcuterie. The wine festival takes place at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort from 5:30 to 9pm. For more information and ticket prices, visit: https://www.facebook.com/events/367496353923964/
  • Halloween – last but certainly not least, is Halloween. While Trick-or-Treating is prevalent amongst the little ones in large apartment complexes and neighbourhoods, there are also tons of parties taking place for adults throughout the weekend before Halloween and even on Friday 1st November.
